Eddie Hearn says a rematch between the British boxers may not take place.
The second fight between Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte may not take place. This was announced by the promoter of former heavyweight champion Eddie Hearn.
The functionary expressed doubts about the organization of the battle. According to him, he offered the team a potential opponent, but was rejected, because of which his ward could get another opponent for the next battle.
“Last night I spoke with representatives of White’s team, this morning and others. We made an offer, but they considered it unacceptable.
We may not have enough money to fight this battle. We have two more options for the August 12 fight,” Hearn told Boxing News 24.
It will be remembered that the British boxers have known each other in the ring. In December 2015, Joshua won by knockout in the seventh round. For White, the loss was the first in his professional career.
Earlier, Dillian Whyte accused Anthony Joshua of trying to disrupt the boxers’ fight.
