Judoka Dudina on bronze at the Grand Slam tournament: “Many people close to me relied on me”

Russian judoka Kristina Dudina on the show “Tous pour le match!” on , she said she felt responsible for the outcome of the Grand Slam tournament in Astana, which was the first international start at adult level for the 19-year-old.

Dudina, competing in the weight category up to 48 kg, defeated the representative of Kazakhstan Galia Tynbayeva in the small final and won the bronze medal.

The athlete’s personal trainer Maxim Fedoseev said that the audience in the stands provoked him during Dudina’s performance.

– Christina imposed on herself that the main thing was to be calm and not to succumb to the provocations shouting from the stands. There were screams in my direction. I was calm, I think that’s why everything worked out, – said Fedoseev.

On Saturday June 17, the awards will be contested by judokas in the categories up to 73 and 81 kg and judokas in the categories up to 63 and 70 kg.

The competition is a qualifying stage for the Olympic Games in Paris.
