On Friday in Sochi, Vartanyan defeated Kazakh Artem Reznikov by TKO in the third round of the ACA Lightweight Grand Prix Final. Vartanyan, 32, has 25 wins and four losses. Vartanyan has been performing at ACA (before that at ACB) since March 2015 with a hiatus in 2021. Reznikov, 31, has 24 wins and seven losses. He has been a fighter in the ASA since the fall of 2019. For both fighters, this was the last fight under the contract.
— Eduard, what is your motivation in Russian MMA?
– Money. I’m in the Grand Prix for the money. I received a US visa in January. We will communicate and come to some sort of denominator,” Vartanyan told a news conference, without giving specific answers regarding his future.
