The Briton can not find a rival among the boxers
WBC World Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury said he received an offer from UFC conduct hybrid combat with one of the champions of mixed martial arts.
“I negotiated with Francis Ngannou about hybrid combat. We also discussed such a duel with John Joneswe are currently negotiating. Yesterday I received an offer from the UFC. So, you never know what will happen. The future is definitely bright and there are many options.”
“It seems that at the moment I am struggling to find a real opponent in boxing. Mauricio Sulaiman, President of the WBC, said recently that I have become a victim of my own success. I’m so good that people don’t want to fight me.”
“That’s what I’m experiencing right now. I think in the last six months I’ve called everyone in the top 15 of the heavyweight division and I still don’t have an opponent,” Fury said.
The WBC plans to nominate a mandatory challenger for Fury’s title soon. At the same time, WBC President Mauricio Suleiman said that the possible rivals of the Gypsy King did not want to enter the ring against Tyson due to financial aspects.
Fury defeated Derek Chisora by TKO in his last fight. The Briton planned to have a unification fight with Oleksandr Usyk, but the Ukrainian pulled out of negotiations due to contract disagreements.
