The judges awarded the victory to Carlos Hernandez by unanimous decision
Ukrainian mixed martial arts fighter Denis Bondar lost for the second time in a row UFC. Ukrainian lost by decision to American Carlos Hernandez.
The fight took place as part of the event UFC on ESPN 47 with the central duel Jared Canonier – Marvin Vettori. Hernandez dominated in all three rounds. At the end of the fight, the American managed to throw Bondar to the canvas, inflicting several elbow strikes, after which the referee stopped the fight a second before the siren.
After watching the video replay, the judges determined that the fighters had collided heads before falling. The knockout was not counted, but Hernandez was awarded the victory by unanimous decision (29:28, 30:27, 30:27).
Recall that in the first fight in the UFC, Bondar lost to Canadian Malcolm Gordon. The Ukrainian stopped the fight due to a broken left hand.
