UFC Russian Welterweight Rinat Fakhretdinov will fight with former U.S. interim lightweight belt contender Kevin Lee as part of the UFC Vegas 76 tournament, the promotion’s press office reports.
Fakhretdinov previously won both fights in the UFC by unanimous decision. In his last fight, he defeated Brian Battle at UFC Vegas 66. In total, the 31-year-old fighter has 20 wins including one loss in MMA.
In February, Lee announced his return to the UFC and signed a new exclusive contract. After leaving in 2021, the American only had one performance outside of the promotion. The 30-year-old fighter has 18 wins and 7 losses in his career.
The fight night, which will take place on July 1, will feature a middleweight bout between American Sean Strickland and Dagestani German Abusupyan Magomedov.
