Wilder’s coach does not exclude the possibility of fights with Anthony Joshua or Alexander Usyk
Malik Scottformer world champion coach Deontay Wildersaid that the former world champion is the priority opponent for the American’s next fight Andy Ruiz.
“Deontay is in a situation where there are so many big fights coming up that any opponent can switch. Andy Ruiz is definitely one of the main options right now and we’ll see where it all comes down. I would love to see this fight at the Crypto Center and I love Vegas.”
“We’ll see what happens, we still have Anthony Joshua on the menu. Ruiz, Joshua, Usyk and others will receive equal attention. There will be big fights and exciting moments.”
Wilder previously said that in the future he would definitely fight Oleksandr Usyk. Deontay believes that the Ukrainian is afraid to enter the ring against him and deliberately refuses to fight.
Wilder plans to fight next no later than September. In December, Deontay is set to fight Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia.
