NSAC bans Russian fighter Kuniev for a year for failed doping test

Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) suspends Russian MMA fighter Rizvan Kunieva 12 months for a positive drug test, according to MMA Junkie.

Kuniev defeated Brazilian Renan Ferreira in April as part of the PFL Promotion Tournament in Las Vegas. In the sample of a 31-year-old athlete, drostanolone, methenolone, boldenone, 19-norandrosterone were found.

The NSAC also overturned the result of the fight and fined the Russian $9,821.

In MMA, Kuniev has 11 wins (excluding sparring with Ferreira), two losses and a draw.
