Vasily lost to the absolute world champion by decision of the judges
famous American coach Robert Garcia declared that the undisputed world champion in lightweight Devin Haney must agree to a second fight with Vasily Lomachenko. According to him, the American must prove that he is stronger than the Ukrainian boxer.
“I think Haney should be given revenge on Lomachenko. This is the only move that will look good for him, because even Floyd Mayweather gave Castillo a rematch after a fight that was said to be lost. The same thing happened with the Maidan. Mayweather came out and beat them,” Garcia said.
“So this is what Haney needs to do. He needs to give Lomachenko a rematch because 95 percent of the world thinks Loma won. Prove them all wrong. Beat him like Mayweather Castillo and Maidana.”
Lomachenko lost to Haney for the title of undisputed world lightweight champion. According to the results of 12 rounds, the judges gave the victory to the American boxer: 116:112, 115:113, 115:113. The sports community spoke out about the unfair decision of the judiciary.
Lomachenko fought his 20th fight in the professional ring and suffered his third defeat in his career. Undefeated Haney won his 30th bout and defended the title of undisputed world lightweight champion.
