Jon Jones and Leon Edwards each received two nominations. They are both shortlisted for the UFC Fighter of the Year award, with Jones nominated for Best Returning Athlete and Edwards for Best Championship Performance. The list of contenders for the title of the best fighter in the UFC also includes Islam Makhachev and Amanda Nunes.
The ESPY Awards will take place on July 12 in Los Angeles. Khabib Nurmagomedov also received the ESPY Award for MMA Fighter of the Year in 2021.
