Hearn: Don’t forget about Lomachenko. He can beat everyone at lightweight

The Ukrainian has not fought since December last year

Promoter Eddie Hearn assessed the situation in the lightweight category, where he called Ryan Garcia’s potential fight against Gervonta “Tank” Davis the most attractive.

The Briton also urged to take into account the factor Vasily Lomachenko, which continues to claim top honors in the division.

“I think the biggest fight in the division is Garcia vs Davis, to be honest. It’s a mixture of a large audience and fan base. Huge fight, but there are some big fights coming up in the division as well,” Hearn said.

“Let’s not forget about Vasily Lomachenko. He can beat them all because when he fought Teofimo Lopez he had an injury and he wasn’t 100 percent ready.”

“Teofimo is not to be underestimated, but Lomachenko, Haney, Garcia and Davis are a cool division. Let’s see how they fight each other, and with Kambosos. Let’s not write it off for now.”

In June, Devin Haney became the undisputed lightweight champion of the world by defeating George Kambosos Jr. by unanimous decision.

Lomachenko last fought in December when he defeated former world champion Richard Commey in 12 rounds.
