Russian judoka Ramazan Abdulaev, on , explained why he felt bad during the Grand Slam judo tournament, which takes place in Mongolia.
Abdulaev won a bronze medal in the weight category up to 60 kg.
After the bronze medal fight, Abdulaev signed autographs for the fans, but asked the audience to wait a bit. He felt unwell, took off his kimono top, got out and sat down for about five minutes and came to his senses, correspondent Vadim Matveev said.
– I’m fine, just a little tired. The road was also difficult. Almost two days on the road. And the fights were tough. All the strong guys gathered here,” Abdulaev said on .
The Judo Grand Slam tournament takes place from June 23 to 25 in Ulaanbaatar. Russian athletes participate in competitions in a neutral status.
