russian judoka Inal Tasoev won gold in the weight category over 100 kg at the Grand Slam tournament stage in Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia).
In the final, Tasoev beat South Korea’s representative Minjon Kim with a wazari throw and a painful hold.
Earlier on Sunday, another Russian, Mikhail Igolnikov, defeated Kyrgyzstan’s representative Yerlan Sherov in the final of the weight class up to 90 kg and won the first gold medal for Russians in the tournament. Arman Adamyan won a bronze medal in the weight category up to 100 kg, beating Azerbaijani Zelim Kotsoev.
Mansur Lorsanov also in the category up to 90 kg lost in the fight for bronze against Hungarian Peter Safrani.
The Grand Slam tournament in the capital of Mongolia ended on Sunday. Russian athletes competed in neutral status.
