Athletistic/ Boxing. Matchroom Boxing chief Eddie Hearn suggests mandatory WBC light heavyweight challenger Callum Smith will defeat IBF, WBC and WBO light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev.
“Callum Smith is going to knock Beterbiev out. It’ll be in shape when the fighter goes facedown. Look, you don’t want to make any bold predictions because Beterbiev is the favorite. But let’s imagine he’s Smith on the ropes and Beterbiev starts pressing him .
And Callum can pull off what he does best – catching a counter with a left hook and knocking him out with a punch. Beterbiev is on the decline. He’s 39, but he’s still a beast. He’s cool. But sooner or later he will lose,” Hearn told Fight Hub TV.
Beterbiev will face Smith on August 19 in Quebec.
