UFC heavyweight Braxton Smith has been suspended for illegal drug use.
The American anti-doping agency announced the suspension of the fighter for two years.
Smith tested positive on April 19, May 4 and May 6, 2023. The last positive test came on the day of his last fight against Parker Porter, which he lost by technical knockout. This fight was his UFC debut. Because Smith’s previous test results had not been released at the time of the fight, the infractions were consolidated into one incident.
Prior to joining the UFC, Smith, 33, won five fights in a row.
