Anthony’s team agreed to remove the rematch clause from the contract
Former World Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua reopened talks to fight former WBC interim champ Dillian White.
Negotiations resumed after Anthony’s team agreed to remove the rematch clause from the contract in the event of Joshua’s defeat. The fight is scheduled to take place on August 12 in London.
Joshua faced White in 2015 for the WBC International belt and British titles. Anthony won by TKO in the seventh round. White, 35, had previously said he was ready for a rematch.
In his last fight, White defeated American Jermaine Franklin by decision. Joshua also defeated Franklin in March, the fight lasted all 12 rounds.
