Athletistic/ Boxing. No. 12 in the UFC lightweight rankings, Kazakh Damir Ismagulov (24-2), compared himself to former world lightweight boxing champion Vasily Lomachenko (17-3).
“I worked on my wrestling skills – I strengthened my weaknesses, but I also continued to develop my strengths. So in this fight, I can both fight and punch.
I’m like Lomachenko in boxing, but only in MMA,” Ismagulov told a UFC press conference.
Ismagulov will fight Grant Dawson on July 1 at UFC on ESPN 47 in Las Vegas.
