Former undisputed world champion Konstantin Tszyu has no doubts about victory for Russia’s WBC and IBF light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev on American WBO champion Joe Smith Jr.
The unification bout will take place on June 18 in New York City. Due to Beterbiev, 37, 17 first wins in the professional ring. Smith, 32, has 28 wins (22 by knockout), three losses, including that of Russian Dmitry Bivol in 2019.
“I haven’t watched many of Smith’s fights, but I’m still sure Arthur will do the job the way he knows how and come out victorious. Arthur is an invincible and tough puncher. I can’t say the fight will be one sided, but the victory will be ours,” Tszyu told .
If Beterbiev wins, all light heavyweight belts will belong to Russian boxers. The WBA (Super) title belongs to Dmitry Bivol.
