Russian UFC fighter Damir Ismagulov born in the Orenburg region, told that in the future he may receive citizenship of Kazakhstan.
– You have a Russian passport, but you went to fight in the UFC under the Kazakh flag. As far as I know the UFC when allowing fighters to use national flags did not focus on citizenship but allowed them to put any flag in the questionnaire and walk out under this one.
– I used to go out under two flags, now only the flag of Kazakhstan, you can really write it in the questionnaire, but now, in principle, the UFC does not allow you to go out under any flag.
“But do you have a Russian passport?”
– Russian, and in Kazakhstan a residence permit, since I will move to Kazakhstan in the future and live there.
– Since you are of Kazakh origin and have the nickname Kazakh, is it difficult for you to obtain a passport?

Ismagulov participated in amateur championships in various types of martial arts, representing the Orenburg region, and in 2014 received the title of master of sports in MMA. The fighter is also a former M-1 lightweight champion and a current UFC fighter with a record of 24 wins, 2 losses.
The next fight the Russian will hold against American Grant Dawson. The fight in the lightweight category will take place on the night of July 2 in Moscow as part of UFC Vegas 76 in Las Vegas (USA).
