Athletistic/ MMA. Former freestyle wrestler and mixed martial arts fighter Henry Cejudo has expressed his displeasure over kickboxing promotion Glory’s decision to terminate contracts with Russian fighters performing under the organization’s auspices.
“We really need to separate sport and politics. No matter what happens in the world, sport helps bridge the gap. This is discrimination plain and simple,” Cejudo wrote on one of the social networks, accompanying the hashtag caption #freerussianathletes.
Among the fighters eliminated was Glory’s reigning light heavyweight champion, Russian kickboxer Artyom Vakhitov.
