There was a time in my life when I was addicted. This problem is familiar to me, ”admits Gazgiriev. – Addiction is a disease recognized by world medicine. We have problem people that we don’t leave, just like we didn’t leave me before. Hospitals, rehabs – they don’t help, I’ve been through it myself. I told Vladimir Khryunov six months before the last fight (on May 27, Alexander Emelianenko beat blogger Mikhail Ershov in the second round – about “”) that Emelianenko would not last long. It can happen to anyone. His illness (alcoholism) is serious.

Now Emelianenko is undergoing a rehabilitation course and feels very well. Professional psychologists work with him and I direct him directly. Sasha goes through a full course of rehabilitation so as not to lose shape – she trains. He is a hardworking guy and a man of his word. In 40 days it will be a fresher person, they pierce him, he takes a course, like an ordinary rehabilitator.

Sasha and I have known each other for a long time, but inside our friendship is disappearing, he’s sick, I’m a specialist, that’s all. And already somewhere on the street – we are friends.

– Can we say for sure that after this course Alexander will get rid of addiction?

“It is an incurable disease. I was in a much worse state compared to Emelianenko. No one can tell you for sure if a patient will be cured. If they say they will be 100% cured, you can no longer communicate with that person. But I can guarantee you that we will open it. At 90% I can say that Emelianenko will not come back badly, but it takes time. Three more months.

– What kind of training does Alexander have now?

– He goes to the gym. One hour a day where he trains.

– There is information that in August he may have a fight. You believe in it ?

– I don’t think he will have a duel in August. I will do my best to prevent this from happening. It is unacceptable. The body of an addict does not function like that of a normal person. Brain biochemistry breaks down, kidneys go bad, and a number of other issues. Now he is undergoing free rehabilitation, and that’s good enough, we don’t need hype.

– Do not wait for the autumn of the fights?

– No. I can influence it. We have our word, influence. At first it was difficult to watch him. I said, “Sasha, look who you’re fighting with, change your mind, aren’t you ashamed?” Even I will not fight them, and you fight. In a nightmare, it was impossible to imagine these people.

– In the life of dependent people, an important factor is their environment. Did you tell him he should change social circles?

“Everything is going slowly. If one day you explain everything to a person, they will say: “Thank you, I don’t need that.” You have to dose it. We will tell him, but not today or tomorrow.

What is his morale now?

– Ideal. Cheerful, smiling, happy. But you need to keep the measure, if there are constant jokes – recovery should not be expected. I repeat, I immediately said to him: “We are friends in the street, here you are a rehabilitator, I am your doctor.” If I make concessions, then I’m his enemy, not his friend.

– After such a tough run, is Emelianenko worth continuing to fight?

He’s not going to equalize. The state of his health is the biggest problem, otherwise everything is fine.

– How many people are now interested in Alexander’s health?

– A lot. Our entire elite, including our deputy in the State Duma. In Ingushetia, Alexander is loved, not a stranger. Our deputy minister came, fighters, world boxing champions came. It is visited by at least two people a week.

Emelianenko needs warmth, Sasha is a good guy. Many procrastinate on the subject of relationships with their brother, but that is their business. Fedor is not a stranger, he is his own brother, they themselves will agree. People come into someone else’s life, but first you have to look at yourself.

— We see a lot of negative comments about your patient. Does it bother him?

In any case, it will appear. He is a wounded man. There are grievances in him, but they need to be removed from him, for this there are psychologists. During the addiction period I had 35-40 grievances against people, then I understood and realized that in most situations I was to blame. You need to get to the root of the problem. This is solvable. Sasha has a conscience, that’s the main thing. If a man has a conscience, he can be helped.

– Do you agree that it has long been used as a means of gaining financial resources, but not as a person?

– Certainly. He, like any drug addict, has a hypersensitivity. Sasha was used. A person sees the real picture and understands that there was practically no warmth towards him. Solid friendship without anything.
