The holder of the interim world champion belt according to the World Boxing Organization (WBO) in the first Australian middleweight Tim Tszyu accused American Jermell Charlo of avoiding a duel with him.
Earlier, undisputed world super middleweight champion Saul Alvarez of Mexico announced that on September 30 he would meet Charlo, who holds the World Boxing Council (WBC) titles, the International Boxing Federation (IBF) and WBO junior middleweights.
“Alvarez avoids (David) Benavidez, Charlo avoids Tszyu,” the Australian wrote on the social network.
In June, Tszyu defeated Mexican Carlos Ocampo and defended the interim WBO world title. After the fight, the 28-year-old son of former absolute world champion Konstantin Tszyu challenged Charlo to a fight. In total, the undefeated Tszyu has 23 wins (17 by KO) in the professional ring.
