Dillian Whyte signs contract to fight Anthony Joshua

British Dillian Whyte signed a contract for a new fight with the former compatriot undisputed world heavyweight champion Antoine Joshua according to Sky Sports.

According to the publication, with negotiations between the parties complete, the fight is set to take place on August 12 in London. Earlier it was reported that Joshua could fight American Deontay Wilder at the end of the year in one of the Middle Eastern countries.

Joshua is 33 years old. He previously held the WBA Super, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight championship belts but lost them in 2021, losing to Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk. In the second fight he was again defeated by Usyk, and in April of this year he defeated American Jermain Franklin.

White last fought Franklin in November 2022. Yes, the 36-year-old boxer lost to current WBC titleholder, Briton Tyson Fury. In 2015, Joshua defeated White by TKO.
