UFC President Dana White has announced that he will be revamping the promotion’s championship belts for its defending champions from Mexico.
“There is a guy in Mexico who does this and wants to make us belts. I now have three Mexican champions. The craftsman wants to stylize their belts, for example, apply the Mexican flag. I’m really going. So these fighters will have a unique championship belt,” White said in an interview with Complex.
Currently, the UFC has three defending champions hailing from Mexico – they are Brandon Moreno, Alexa Grasso and interim champion Yair Rodriguez.
