Three light heavyweight championship belts were on the line: Beterbiev’s WBC and IBF titles and Smith’s WBO belt.
Beterbiev knocked out his opponent in the second round.
In total, the Russian has 18 wins in 18 fights. He won all fights by knockout.
Smith Jr. has spent 32 fights in his career, won 28 and suffered four losses.
