“I don’t believe at all that the Miocic-Jones fight will be organized” – Dmitry Bikrev

AMC Fight Nights Champion Dmitry Bikrev told he did not believe the fight between Americans Stipe Miocic and John Jones would be staged.

Earlier, UFC chief Dana White officially announced that heavyweight champion Jones will face ex-champ Miocic on November 12 in New York.

I don’t believe in this fight at all. It’s kind of a delay in time, and Seryoga Pavlovich remains out of work. He is ready to beat both. I don’t believe Miocic will return. Yes, and this fight is practical for Jones – to win. Why would he fight young and hungry Pavlovich? And here, Miocic is a big name. Jones can win and retire quietly. I hope they will organize this fight, but I said my opinion – I do not believe it. Let’s see what happens with it,” Bikrev told .

Jones, 35, who previously held the UFC light heavyweight title, has 27 wins and one loss in MMA. Jones fought only one heavyweight fight – in March this year, the American defeated Frenchman Cyril Gan in the first round in a duel for the vacant UFC belt. Prior to that, Jones had not competed since the winter of 2020. Miocic, 40, has 20 wins and four losses. He fought his last fight in March 2021, when he lost to Francis Ngannou by second-round knockout and lost his UFC heavyweight belt.

Jones tops the UFC rankings regardless of weight class. Russian Sergey Pavlovich is on the first line of the heavyweight rankings, Miocic is third.
