Hearn: I don’t think Dubois will even win a round, but he has a chance to shock Usyk with one punch

The promoter wished good luck to the British boxer

Promoter Eddie Hearn counts british boxer Daniel Dubois outsider of the fight with the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk. However, Hearn is confident that the contender for the belt has his own small chance of winning the fight.

“This is a good fight. I mean, this is a great opportunity for Daniel. I saw that the odds for his victory are 7:1. I don’t think he’ll even win a round, but he’s a huge puncher. We know Usyk can be shaken. Yes, I think Dubois has a chance in this fight. I don’t think Dubois will win, but he can win. Good luck to him. I’d like to see him do it.”

The duel between Usyk and Dubois is officially announced on August 26. The event will take place in Wroclaw, Poland, at the Tarczynski Arena. It was reported that Usyk will receive 75% of the total prize fund – $6 million. Dubois can count on 25% – 2 million.

Earlier it was reported that the rights to broadcast the Usyk-Dubois fight in PPV format were received by the TNT Sports platform. From July 18, the resource, formerly known as BT Sport, will officially complete the rebranding. Usyk’s fight will be the platform’s first major boxing event.

Alexander in his last fight again defeated Briton Anthony Joshua, defending his belts. Dubois defeated Kevin Lerena by TKO in December and retained the status of the mandatory contender for the WBA belt, owned by the Ukrainian.
