Usyk’s fight with Fury is tentatively scheduled for January 27

Promoter Alexander Krasyuk said that the fight between Joshua and Wilder could also take place on this day.

The fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion between the holder of the WBA / WBO / IBF / IBO titles Oleksandr Usyk and WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury tentatively scheduled for January 27th.

This was announced by the promoter of the Ukrainian Alexander Krasyuk. The promoter confirmed that the fight was originally scheduled for December 26, but was forced to move the date. Krasyuk also said that on the same day a fight between two former world champions Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder could take place.

Recall, Skill Challenge Entertainment plans to organize a boxing evening in Saudi Arabia with two fights Usyk-Fury and Joshua-Wilder. Insider Simon Jordan expressed doubt that the event in Saudi Arabia will be able to bring together the four best fighters in one evening.

In April, Fury planned to have a unification fight with Usyk, but the Ukrainian pulled out of negotiations due to contract disagreements. The name of Tyson’s new opponent and the date of the Briton’s return to the ring are still unknown.

Usyk will face Daniel Dubois next. The bout is officially announced for August 26th. The event will take place in Wroclaw, Poland, at the Tarczynski Arena.
