Star UFC fighter announces retirement at 30

American MMA fighter Kevin Lee has announced his decision to retire.

Anyway, I decided to retire from MMA and UFC. It’s been 12 years, 12 long years. A lot of hard work has been put into trying to be the best fighter in the world. I’ve fought a lot of tough guys. I’ve always had great fights. I never backed down and always challenged myself to do what I thought I couldn’t.

The last three years have been difficult, especially for my body. There were a lot of injuries, and to be honest, that was one of the main factors that influenced my decision. I need another operation after the last fight. The time and energy that I invest in this sport, I can devote to something else”, wrote the fighter on social networks.

Lee, 30, has won 19 fights with eight losses in his career. In his last fight on July 1, 2023, he lost earlier than expected to Rinat Fakhretdinov.
