Monson on the last fight of his career: “It would be cool to fight a young fighter”

Russian mixed style fighter Jeff Monson told he would like to fight the last fight of his career against a young opponent.

Earlier, 52-year-old Monson told that the fight will take place the last weekend of August in Ufa.

– Have you found an opponent for the last fight?

– I can’t find it yet. I want to have a cool last fight, so finding an opponent is not that easy. We wanted to fight with Alexander Emelianenko, but you yourself know that he is not up to it now.

It would be cool to fight with a young fighter at the age of 20-22 – it would be interesting for everyone.

– Someone refused to fight with you?

– Honestly, I do not know. Aleksey Oleinik refused to fight, but I also refused, because we are on the same team. But I don’t know about the others,” Monson told .

Monson has 60 wins in his MMA career, suffered 26 losses and one other fight ended in a draw.
