Undisputed world lightweight boxing champion Devin Haney has been arrested and prosecuted for illegal possession of weapons, TMZ reports citing police.
According to the source, the police stopped Haney, 24,’s car for a traffic violation. While searching his car under the driver’s seat, police found a semi-automatic pistol. Haney was not driving, but the car was registered in his name. The boxer was released on $35,000 bail. He is due to appear in court next month.
Haney, undefeated, has 30 victories in the professional ring, 15 of which he won earlier than expected.
