Usyk said he needed a fight with Fury not for the absolute world title

Ukrainian boxer, WBA, IBF and WBO world champion Oleksandr Usyk announced that he was looking to set up a fight with the British WBC champion Tyson’s Fury not for the belt.

In the event of a victory over Tyson, Usyk would become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

“I don’t care about the belt anymore. I need Fury and the WBC title is just a little extra motivation. Fans should see our battle, — quotes the words of Usyk VoxingScene.

It was previously announced that the battle between Usyk and Fury, which was scheduled to take place on April 29 at Wembley Stadium in London, has been called off. On the side of the Ukrainian boxer, the Briton made “unacceptable demands”.

Boxing tournaments are broadcast live on the federal channel, matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru sites.
