Ngannou can’t beat Fury, he has nothing to gain, says Gadzhiev

President of the AMC Fight Nights League Kamil Hajiyev spoke about the chances of the former UFC heavyweight champion Francois Ngannou in a duel with WBC title holder Tyson Fury.

The fight under the rules of boxing will take place on October 28 in Riyadh.

Is it possible for Ngannou to defeat Fury?

– It will not happen. Ngannou’s victory is about as likely as Conor McGregor’s victory over Floyd Mayweather. At a time when Mayweather was still fit. People have boxed all their lives. I’m willing to bet half the fighters who wear boxing gloves won’t have the discipline to keep their hands on their heads in the seventh round. Everything else: regulations, technical aspects. And boxers do that all their lives. They’re used to distance, they’re used to keeping their hands close to their heads, they’re used to defending with slopes, body, which is pretty much non-existent in MMA.

Ngannou can’t beat Fury. He has nothing to gain. His crushing punch, which he used to knock people down in MMA, is leveled in a boxing glove. It will be a terrible blow, but neither Deontay Wilder nor Dillian Whyte knocked Tyson out. Don’t knock out Ngannou either. Never in my life.

It’s a one-sided fight that will end when Fury wants it to. There’s no point in a boxing match. I’ll watch it, you’ll take a look, but if you talk about the chances, there are none,” Gadzhiev told Metaratings.ru.

Ngannou has 17 MMA wins with three losses. Fury has 33 wins in 34 fights in the professional ring.
