Gervonta Davis released from prison

The boxer spent a month and a half in detention for violating the conditions of house arrest

WBA champion in three weight divisions Gervonta Davis got out of prison.

The boxer has been in custody since early June after he violated the terms of his house arrest. In early May, Davis was sentenced to 90 days of house arrest, three years of probation and 200 hours of community service for a November 2020 car accident in Baltimore.

Davis pleaded guilty and will serve his sentence and do community service in Baltimore. The boxer was accused of violating traffic rules, hiding from the scene of an accident in which people were injured, as well as driving a car with an invalid license.

Recall that in December 2022, Davis was arrested by Florida police. He was charged with assault and domestic violence. Soon Gervonta’s girlfriend Vanessa Posso denied allegations of violence by the boxer.

In April in Las Vegas, Gervonta Davis defeated American lightweight Ryan Garcia by knockout. The champion remains undefeated in 29 fights.
