Blachowicz, Pereira won’t challenge for title in upcoming fight, UFC says

A UFC rep says the upcoming fight between the former light heavyweight champion John Blachowicz and former middleweight champion Alex Pereira will not be the title.

“A UFC official has informed me that this was a typo and that the Blachowicz-Pereira fight currently remains a three-round non-title bout,” journalist Mike Bohn wrote on Twitter.

Earlier in the UFC social networks, it was written that two title fights will take place at the UFC 291 tournament, including the fight between Blachowicz and Pereira.

The tournament will take place on July 29 in Salt Lake City (USA). Its main event will see American lightweights Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje take on the vacant BMF belt previously held by retired UFC Jorge Masvidal.

Live broadcasts of mixed martial arts tournaments can be viewed on the federal channel, matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru websites.
