Hasanov vs Tonon

– My main goal was the ONE belt, but now I especially want a rematch with Thonon, Hasanov said as quoted by ONE. – No matter how many fights I have to fight, ten or fifteen, I want to see him back in the ring.

Khalilov vs. Superlek

Tagir Khalilov seriously approached the fight with one of the best Thai strikers Superlek. But the No. 1 in the lightest division needed a round and a half to stop the Russian’s tough attack. The opponents met at a catchweight of 135.25 pounds (61.3 kg), and Khalilov looked very confident in the first round, but Superlek proved he was a cut above.

Superlek from the first minutes began to use elbows, jumping knees and punches to punish Khalilov for his aggressive behavior, and he did not slow down throughout the fight. In the second round, the Russian had to go on the defensive, although he repeatedly responded to Superlek with backfings.

After a powerful elbow, Khalilov fell to the canvas and the referee managed to count to eight. Khalilov returned to the fight, but at the end the referee at around 1:42 announced the end of the fight.

With a TKO win, Superlek improved their record to 135-29 for their ninth straight win.

Abdullaev vs. Canarte

Akbar Abdullayev remained undefeated, earning his tenth consecutive victory in his professional record. At the ONE Fight Night 12 tournament in Bangkok, he knocked out previously undefeated Aaron Canarte in 41 seconds. It was Abdullayev’s second ONE victory, as well as his second straight TKO victory in under 44 seconds, and it could help him secure a top-five spot in the standings.

– It was obvious that he was physically strong and a characteristic fighter, – said Abdullaev about the opponent. We had about the same level of opponents before this fight.

League ONE names Abdullaev’s next possible opponents either Martin Nguyen or Ilya Freimanov (ranked number three), but Abdullaev himself has already made his choice:

“I would like to fight former double champion Martin Nguyen,” Abdullayev said.

Nguyen is currently ranked fourth in the featherweight division.
