Former Bellator Russian Middleweight Champion Alexander Shlemenko told MMA.Metaratings.ru that in a fight with Brazilian Alex Oliveira he will rely on his striking technique.
Shlemenko and Oliveira will meet on July 21 in Omsk in the main event of the evening at the Shlemenko FC tournament and will have a three-round fight under MMA rules.
– In combat, I will focus on the striking technique, I believe in it and I develop it, but at the same time I do not forget the other aspects. In general, training went well, I feel good, my mood is positive, calm. Of course, it will be difficult, because every 13 fights I will worry about my guys, but it’s not my first experience like this, Shlemenko said.
Shlemenko had his last fight against Yasubey Enomoto under kickboxing rules in April this year. He has 61 wins, 15 losses and one draw in MMA.
Oliveira knocked out Stefan Sekulich in June this year. He has 25 wins, 14 losses and a draw.
