President of AMC Fight Nights Kamil Hajiyev doesn’t believe the former Bellator champ Alexander Shlemenko picks weak opponents.
Shlemenko and Brazilian Alex Oliveira will meet on July 21 in Omsk in the main event of the evening at the Shlemenko FC tournament and will have a three-round fight under MMA rules.
– I would not say that Shlemenko draws the last from himself. I think he can still fight. A year for sure. Oliveira is quite a famous sportsman. He lost to some tough guys. I don’t think Shlemenko has any problems in terms of names in the opposition. With the results, yes, there are problems. Alexandre does not always win, as his audience wants. I wouldn’t say he picks bags for himself and ends his career on them. It’s good. I would watch the fight against Oliveira. I watched his fight against Magomed Ismailov, the fight against Yasubey Enomoto too. Weak opponents? There are no questions for Shlemenko here,” Gadzhiev told MMA.Metaratings.ru.
Shlemenko had his last fight against Yasubey Enomoto under kickboxing rules in April this year. He has 61 wins, 15 losses and one draw in MMA.
Oliveira knocked out Stefan Sekulich in June this year. He has 25 wins, 14 losses and a draw.
