UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev will have a rematch against the Brazilian Charles Oliveira as part of the UFC 294 tournament, the promotion’s press office said.
The tournament will take place on October 21 in Abu Dhabi (UAE).
The fights Khamzat Chimaev (Sweden) – Paulo Costa (Brazil) and Nassurdin Imavov (France) – Ikram Aliskerov (Russia) have also been announced.
Last October, Makhachev defeated Oliveira by knockout for the vacant UFC lightweight belt. He held a defense of the belt – in February of this year in Australia, Islam beat Australian featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski by unanimous decision.
Live broadcasts of mixed martial arts tournaments, including UFC, take place on the federal channel, matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru websites.
