Uzbek UFC fighter Mahmud Muradov in an interview with , he suggested the promotion may hold a tournament in Uzbekistan in the coming years.
In September 2019, Muradov signed a contract with the UFC, becoming the first representative of Uzbekistan in the history of the organization. In the UFC, he has three wins and two losses. In total, the athlete spent 33 fights in MMA, 25 of which he won.
– Before the pandemic, the UFC held tournaments in Poland and the Czech Republic. Would you like to fight at any of these events and do you know anything about tournaments in Eastern Europe?
– I would like the UFC to organize a tournament in Uzbekistan, I would fight there for free. I even said on social media that if I fight there I will donate all the money to charity.
How realistic can that be?
“There is already something. Maybe they will come soon. It’s really not easy to do it there, but there’s already interest on their side and on ours; negotiations are underway, but it is not easy to do.
– In 2024, maybe there will be a UFC in Uzbekistan?
– Uzbekistan already has three fighters in the UFC. I will say that everything is possible, – said Muradov “”.
