In his opinion, Alexander is losing physical fitness
Former World Super Middleweight Champion Carl Froch commented on the upcoming fight between the WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and British boxer Daniel Dubois.
“I think Usyk was incredible, great, one of the best. People will argue with what I’m about to say, they’ll say, “What is Froch talking about? He is bullshitting.” But I think Usyk has passed his peak.”
“Therefore, physically, his years are behind him. I know heavyweights can go well into their 30s, but he’s a cruiser.”
The duel between Usyk and Dubois is officially announced on August 26. The fight will take place in Wroclaw, Poland, at the Tarczynski Arena. It was reported that Usyk would receive 75% of the total prize fund – $6 million. Dubois can count on 25% – 2 million.
Alexander in his last fight again defeated Briton Anthony Joshua, defending his belts. Dubois defeated Kevin Lerena by TKO in December and retained the status of the mandatory challenger for the WBA belt, owned by the Ukrainian.
