The holder of the interim world champion belt according to the World Boxing Organization (WBO) in the first Australian middleweight Tim Tszyu said that in the future he would like to fight with the Mexican Saul Alvarez.
Earlier, it was learned that Alvarez, the absolute world super middleweight champion, will meet with multiple US super middleweight belt holder Jermell Charlo on September 30. Tszyu has already expressed his desire to fight Charlo.
I’m mad at Canelo. He took what I wanted, so now he’s on my list too. I’ll be like John Wick, call me that from now on.
I have three, maybe four junior middleweight fights that will get the most attention, after which I will move up (in weight). So let’s see how long I stay in this division. At the end of the day, it’s about creating highlights that will live forever,” Tszyu said as quoted by Fox Sports Australia.
In June, Tszyu defeated Mexican Carlos Ocampo and defended the interim WBO world title. After the fight, the 28-year-old son of former absolute world champion Konstantin Tszyu challenged Charlo to a fight. In total, Tszyu has 23 wins (17 by KO) in the professional ring
