American Rob Police officially competed Corey Sandhagen during the UFC tournament in Nashville on August 5, the organization’s press service confirmed.
Font, 36, replaced the Russian Umara Nurmagomedova , who injured his shoulder and withdrew from the tournament. The bantamweight bout between Nurmagomedov and Sandhagen was supposed to be the main event of the evening.
Earlier, a representative of Dominance MMA, Rizvan Magomedov who is the manager of Umar Nurmagomedov told that the MMA fighter suffered a shoulder injury and will undergo surgery next week.
Sandhagen is 31 years old, in mixed martial arts, he won 16 victories, suffered four defeats. In the last fight, the American in March defeated Marlon Vera by split decision. Font has won 20 fights with six losses.
