The famous boxer Carl Froch believes that the physical form of the Ukrainian athlete is missing.
Oleksandr Usyk is not what he used to be and is losing his physical form. This is what ex-world champion Carl Froch said.
According to the famous British boxer, the Ukrainian is the best, but the years take their toll and now his best years are behind him.
And all because of the change in the weight category, which is not native to Usyk.
“I think Usyk is incredible, great, one of the best. I compared him to Lomachenko, but Vasily was beaten. Anyone can lose. People will argue with what I say, they will say, ‘What is Froch talking about? He is talking nonsense.” But I think Usyk has passed his peak.
Therefore, in physical terms, his years are left behind. I know heavyweights can go over 30, but he’s a cruiser,” Froch said as quoted by Boxing Social.
Remember that in the next fight Oleksandr Usyk will meet in the ring with the mandatory challenger Daniel Dubois. The fight will take place on August 26 at the Tarczyński Arena in Wroclaw, Poland.
Earlier, Froch compared future fights between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury.
