Two days ago, Umar was forced to abandon a fight against American Cory Sandhagen, scheduled for the UFC tournament in Nashville (USA) on August 5.
Khabib said: “Those who know about this injury, fighters and athletes, understand what it is like when the shoulder comes out of the joint. Umar has had this problem for 1.5-2 years. Sometimes the shoulder comes out and then comes back. But in this camp it came out about 3-4 times, and the last time it’s worse. The knife takes 2-3 months to recover. I think the shoulder will take about 4 months to fully recover, then another 3 months to come back. At best, Umar will be able to return to the ring early next year.”
Umar Nurmagomedov has had 16 fights in MMA and won 16 times.
