Former world champion in eight weight divisions Manny Pacquiao will hold an exhibition fight with the multiple world champion in Thai boxing Buakaw Banchamek. The fight is scheduled for the first quarter of 2024.
The six-round fight will be held according to the rules of boxing. Martial arts legends have agreed on an intermediate weight of 70 kilograms. Rounds will last three minutes with a two-minute rest.
Pacquiao, 44, has officially announced his retirement in 2021. In their last fight, Pak Man lost to Yordenis Ugas by decision.
Banchamek, 41, has gained fame in Muay Thai, kickboxing and shootboxing. Buakaw became the first two-time winner of the K-1 World MAX Grand Prix in history. Banchamek last fought in May against Anpo Ryukia at Rizin 42. The fight ended in a draw.
