Russian MMA fighter Alexander Shlemenko says he received an offer to participate in the filming of a promotion of popular fights with musician Alisher Morgenstern*, a recognized foreign agent in Russia.
Previously, the athlete spoke harshly about the rapper, believing that his texts contained anti-drug propaganda. Morgenstern responded to Shlemenko’s criticism by calling for MMA to be banned as an unnecessarily violent sport. Currently, the musician has left Russia.
“Do you think I chase fashion?” Well, remember the Morgenstern situation. If we didn’t do everything so that he wouldn’t be in Russia, but come to the filming of the show, snuggle up to him, hug him, spit on each other … Do you think I wouldn’t get hype?
“Were you directly invited to cross paths with Morgenstern?
‘Yes, it was like that. They called me to comment on something, – the correspondent quotes Shlemenko.
Shlemenko on Friday, July 21, in the main event of the SFC 8 tournament in Omsk, defeated Brazilian Alex Oliveira by first-round choke. For the 39-year-old Russian, this is the first victory since October 17, 2021.
*May 6, 2022 Morgenstern has been recognized as an individual acting as a foreign agent in Russia.
