Stevenson: If Haney doesn’t want to fight, Lomachenko and I stay

Shakur plans to fight on November 16 in Las Vegas

Former world featherweight and super featherweight champion Shakur Stevenson said he was ready to fight the ex-champion in three weight categories Vasily Lomachenkoif it is not possible to agree on a duel with the undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney.

“Let’s prove everything to the world now. I want to show everyone that I am ready for the best fighters, the biggest dogs in the division. Haney just fought Lomachenko. If he doesn’t want to fight me, Vasily and I stay. I want to put on a show where I beat him and show the world what a great fighter I am.”

Previously, the WBC confirmed Stevenson as the mandatory challenger for the title held by Haney. Devin is choosing between defending his lightweight belt and fighting for the light welterweight title held by Regis Prograis.

Promoter Bob Arum said that Shakur will fight next November 16 in Las Vegas. Stevenson’s opponent should be either Haney or Lomachenko.

Shakur previously challenged Vasily Lomachenko to a fight. The Ukrainian, in turn, wants a rematch with Haney. Lomachenko in his last fight lost to Devin in a duel for the title of undisputed world lightweight champion.
