The former undisputed world heavyweight champion believes the mayor of Kyiv is holding the main battle of his life.
On June 21, 2003, the legendary fight for the world heavyweight title took place between Lennox Lewis and Vitali Klitschko.
The Briton won by technical knockout, due to a strong Ukrainian cut. For Lennox, this fight was the last of his career, which he ended as the undisputed world champion.
On the anniversary of that fight, Lewis expressed his admiration for his former ring rival, saying that Vitali Klitschko had reached a new level, which was impressive.
“Normally, I would make a post dedicated to the anniversary of the fight with Vitali Klitschko. But now I just want to congratulate him. He is participating in the biggest battle of his life. The sacrifices he made to serve his citizens are more than all.just respect, and admiration.
It takes a lot of courage to get into the boxing ring. As fighters, we know that every fight can be our last. But the courage to stand up for your country and citizens requires a different level of courage and love. Congratulations my friend. May God protect you and bless you with peace, love and happiness, ”Lewis wrote.
