The Ukrainian boxer will hold his next fight against the French Pont-Saint-Maxense.
Denis Berinchyk’s next opponent has already been identified. The WBO International lightweight champion will face European Boxing Union title holder Ivan Mendy of France.
According to Boxing Scene, the match will take place on October 22 at the French Pont-Saint-Maxense and the European champion’s belt is at stake.
The undefeated Ukrainian lightweight will face the 37-year-old French as a mandatory contender for the EBU title.
Note that Berinchyk last entered the ring in December 2021. The 34-year-old athlete then defeated Russian Isa Chaniev by unanimous decision and grabbed the sixth successful defense of the WBO International belt.
Mendy last fought in April 2022, defeating Italian Gianluca Ceglia to win the vacant EBU lightweight title.
